Here we are in 2012 walking part of the northern route of The Way of Saint James.
The Big One is Albert. He's a 34 year old Catalan and you can read about some of his exploits on his blog Bert, if you read Catalan. If not, you can try the Google translate, but it reads a bit weird.
The medium one on right is Jett. He's currently 13 and goes to school here in Catalonia.
And Dear Reader, I am the little one in the middle. My name is Tiffany and I am 41 years old. I am Australian and we have been living in Catalonia for four years. You can read about our experiences in Life in Catalunya.
The one you can not see, is the smallest one. She is in my belly, baking. She is due in October 2013. And she is the reason why I have started this blog.
I used to be athletic, vegan, an environmentalist, dedicated to health and well-being, a yoga fanatic, and avid protester of all anti-green activities. I used to reuse plastics, be vigilant about what I bought, consider house hold products and their environmental impact and make conscious decisions.
And then I moved country, had a child, and found myself slipping into easy choices. Choices that were convenient and time saving rather than part of my value system.
With the approaching arrival of our new family member I am inspired and motivated to begin anew. To recharge our spirit and rethink some of the easy choices we have been making.
So welcome to our journey. I hope you can find some laughs amongst the balancing of our budget and lifestyle with ideals and values, and if you have anything to contribute, I would love to hear your own story.
Thanks for joining us.
